Rants, Raves and Reality according to Liane Kanapi Ng | | My first time to try out the Lomo Ringflash with the LC-A. I decided... I don't like it :P They say it's a lot better with the Fisheye.
Anyway, dining with these two boys would mean:
1. We were going out of the restaurant with big bellies. 2. We *must* have some sake. 3. Sake = Sharing. As in sharing stories. Hehehe :)

Seriously hating Sensia 100 right now. Too dark and red and... ugh :s How frustrating. Then again, I used a flash. |
| | Very random because I don't remember when they were taken! But i'm pretty sure it was all during the month of October :)

http://www.lomography.com/about/faq
This was the day the Lomography FAQ was finally launched. After Uhhh... 1 1/2 years of working on it? Hehehe :) And it's still continues to be changed. But I like doing this :) Hoping it's helpful to all those who want to get into Lomography! | | Haven't done Lomo in a while so of course I went shutter happy. Even though there wasn't much around me to take... just the same people over and over again ;)

| | I call them "Mini Movies" because that's what LSI (Lomographic Society International) used to call these things - shots produced from the Supersampler camera or the Actionsampler camera.
This is the first and (so far) the only time i've used my Supersampler. (c/o LSI) I feel it's not as fun if you don't have an actual viewfinder on the camera :P I didn't get to finish the film, I wound it and put it in another camera :P
Pics taken early April at Greenhills and Mid-July at Eastwood :) |

Lomo LC-A Redscaled Redscale film (what a waste of Lomography redscale film. I don't like it :P)

 |
| | Decided to just shoot around the house with a roll of black and white 120s with my very very neglected Holga camera. This was taken last April, if i'm not mistaken. I just haven't had time to have them processed and scanned :)
Holga 120CFN Lomography Black and White Film Scanned by Jolo Santos :) Thanks Jolo! |
| | I just loooove Saturdays with Em :) This Saturday afternoon we went to the Citigolf driving range first and hit some balls while having a few beers. Super steady :) I still suck :P
Lomo LC-A Redscaled Lomography Redscale film (What? I hate redscaled film and was given one so I reversed it for negs :P Yes yes, what a waste.)

 | Bokeh! | Jul 26, '09 4:12 AM for everyone |
| | Since I uploaded the Isshin album with pics taken using my SLR, I might as well upload these. Took my OM2 for a spin (after Dong fixed it) and keeping the aperture at f/1.2. Awesome! They're random photos from early April 2009. |
| | Had a session of Isshin with Chris, Jolo, Kha, Paola, Jonas and Chris-I-forgot-the-other-girl's-name-i'm-sorry.
Took my Olympus OM-2 + 55mm f/1.2 out to dinner since it was being neglected and I wanted to finish a roll of film :) Not bad...

| | Down South to celebrate Joy's birthday at Palms Country Club, Alabang :) The sun was subtle and I thought they're pretty good shots of my friends :)

| | I usually save my last roll of a kind of film for a special occasion like this. I had around 5 last good rolls of slide and negative film that I've been saving for quite sometime. And this is a special occasion - last time I travelled with my whole family was in 1993!
But if you don't notice that your LC-A's batteries were running out, then it'll all be... a FAILURE :s
These are disappointing but it was a great trip, nevertheless :)
Shot all over Hong Kong Island - Tsim Sha Tsui, the MTR, Sheung Wan, the Lomography store HK, Disneyland and the Nong Ping 360 cable car ride :)

Our last day at Hong Kong... We were still staying at Disney's Hollywood Hotel but we decided to check out early and go our separate ways before the flight back to Manila. Brian stayed and maximized Disneyland while Karen went to Citygate and some of us took the Nong Ping 360 cable car ride... It was awesome!! :D I totally recommend!! (Even if you're scared of heights, like me, it's very tolerable)
Too bad we didn't have enough time to get to the Buddha path... Didn't want to miss the shuttle going back to the airport :P We did have some gelato over there. That was awesome too!! :D
At the airport, the flight was at 6pm and we were stuck INSIDE the airplane until 8pm cause they couldn't seem to close the door where they kept the luggage :-L They didn't serve us food or let us watch anything and the aircon was eventually turned off. Minus points for PAL. Eventually they disembarked us, made us wait and go through long lines in the airport and gave us dinner stubs for free :| I wasn't hungry so I spent it all on Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. YUM.
Pretty eventful Hong Kong trip :) It was nice to actually have a family trip. We never do this! Since we've proven that this family trip was possible (KKB and all), I wonder when and where our next destination is? Shucks. I gotta save first :|
Somehow I still can't get enough of Hong Kong. Will definitely find a way to go back soon :)

Today was all about DISNEY. Of course, our priority was the happiness of my 5 nephews! We HAD to have Disney :) Woke up extra early to have some breakfast, have a walk around Cameron road before we took the shuttle to Hollywood Hotel in Disneyland. Mind you, we had the whole shuttle all to ourselves... SWEET :)
I didn't get to ride and explore that much at Disney. I guess it was alright since i've had my share of Disneyland/Disneyworld when I was younger anyway. I just wanted my nephews to experience the magic ;) Too bad though, I think I enjoyed Disney more when I was younger as compared to them now. There's just way too many cartoons out there today :P
It was Lesley's idea to do the jump shots and the cartwheel shots.
It was Dad's idea to have his own jump shot. Hehehe :)
Maximized our time by going to Citygate Outlets at Tung Chung during nighttime for dinner and some outlet-shopping. UGH. Why'd they have to have Quiksilver there, anyway? :P Hahaha :)

I didn't have much digital photos here so I'll post the Lomo ones and Lesley's.
I went solo on this day cause I wanted to check out the Lomography store at Sheung Wan. It was an adventure for me cause it'd be the first time i'd roam around by myself... Plus, Po Yan street in Sheung Wan wasn't the easiest to find, jeez. It was quite the adventure though :) I loved walking around and checking out the sights along the way... even though the Lomography store was just so small :|
Shopped at H&M in Canton Road after. Good Lord. I closed my eyes nalang when I signed the CC bill :P
Met up with Jong, my brother-in-law and we went to Wan Chai and Sham Shui Po for electronics. Found myself goodies for my laptop :D (Ahhh the geek in me)
Brought Karen, Mom and Dad to the Mongkok ladies' market while Lesley, Sars and Irene went to Victoria Peak. Note in head: Must go Victoria Peak on my next HK trip. Looks fantastic!

TODAY was sort of a miracle! The day before, I got home from Boracay and I got really sick... 39.5 degrees sick :P I downed myself with all the medicine I could get. I think 5 kinds :P Woke up with no more fever but a bit of cough :P
Damn Swine Flu got me all praning. I didn't want to go to HK all sick and ready to catch the Swine Flu :P My immunity was pretty low.
Declared at this health form before arriving at HK that I had cough (I mean, I wouldn't want to fake it cause if I coughed in the airport, i'd be in trouble, right?) and they pulled me away from my family and held me at this area for some time for testing :P Decided to fake the "interview" cause I didn't want to get my family worried.
So here I am in Sunny Hong Kong! (Yes, it was pretty sunny and pleasant! Very different from the rainy Philippines that I left a couple hours ago) The weather was so so so pleasant - I could wear a jacket while walking around during the day :) Hong Kong is such a diverse country. I'd take this over the USA any day :)
This was the first time we travelled as a family since... 1993? This was a gift for my parents on their 40th wedding anniversary last December. We were 15 in total! I still couldn't believe that we were able to pull this off :) Thanks to Edlynn, my sister-in-law for fixing the whole thing! :D
Stayed at Park Hotel along Cameron Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, on the same road as Hotel Benito, where I stayed in last August 2008. I didn't have a problem getting around cause everything was still familiar and I already knew how to read the map and ride the MTR :) I love Hong Kong!!
For the first day, we just got ourselves acquainted with the area, went our separate ways but had dinner together since it was my mom's birthday.
Walked through Canton Road at night to get to the ferry towards Central. The skyline was quite a sight at night and it was a good experience cause the last time I took the ferry was during the day.
Since we weren't tired yet, we decided to take the MTR from Central to Mongkok to tackle the Ladies' Market.Lesley didn't take my dream shot in the middle of the busy streets of Mongkok. Hmmmph.
Pics from my reliable Canon Powershot S400 point and shoot and Lesley's Nikon D700. Pffffth.
